Carol (at right, pictured with Bonnie Anton, Past President of Pittsburgh Education and Advocacy Committee) was honored because of her tireless commitment and passion toward bettering the lives of stroke patients, which resonates in everything she does in both her personal and professional life. Carol has been an AHA volunteer for nearly seven years. She is a Field Representative for the Pennsylvania State Advocacy Committee in the 18th Congressional District and is a member of the Education and Advocacy Committee in Pittsburgh. She has joined us for federal lobby day in Washington, D.C., and has met personally with state and federal legislators in their district offices to help deliver important heart and stroke-related public policy messages.
