- Take Action
- Our action alerts (which you will receive via email) are the BEST way to make your voice heard by your legislators regularly! The email we send will give you a brief synopsis of the issue and a link to the alert. It only take 3 clicks and just seconds of your time to send the email on to your legislators! You can always visit http://www.yourethecure.org/ to make sure you are caught up on all available action alerts!
- Forward Alerts
- Share our alerts with family, friends, colleagues or anyone you know that may be interested in the issue! The email you receive from us can be forwarded to anyone - they can use the same link to respond to the alert (they will not be logged in to your account). Share the Cure today!
- Meet with Legislators
- Meeting with your legislators face-to-face is highly valuable and key to building a relationship with them. Most legislators have offices in the district somewhere and are happy to have meetings with constituents. If you are interested in meeting with your legislators to advocate for American Heart Association priorities, contact Melissa Brown, our Grassroots Director, at melissa.brown@heart.org
- Attend Lobby Day
- Each of our states hosts a Lobby Day annually, usually in the spring. Lobby Day is an opportunity for You're the Cure advocates from around the state to convene at the capitol to meet with their legislators and advocate for an important, hot-topic issue. Many advocates find the experience extremely rewarding.
