

The plan is comprised of recommendations categorized in eight societal sectors: business and industry; education; health care; mass media; parks, recreation, fitness and sports; public health; transportation, land use and community design; and volunteer and nonprofit.
"As co-leader of the business and industry sector, the American Heart Association will help identify and disseminate best practice models for physical activity in the workplace. The association recognizes worksites for prioritizing the health and wellness of their employees through on-site access to physical activity and healthy nutrition options that would be adapted to fit within the culture of the organization," said AHA CEO Nancy Brown in a recent statement.
