The American Lung Association released The State of Tobacco Control yesterday and Ohio's grades aren't good.
Though we once were a class leader, Ohio's program is set to be eliminated in a few short months. That means we will be the only state to not have a Quitline to help current smokers quit and we won't have prevention efforts for our children!
Urge your legislators to improve Ohio's tobacco prevention efforts!
In this year's report, Ohio received an A (smoke free environments), a D (state tobacco taxes) and two F's (coverage of cessation services and tobacco prevention spending).
Just as we would tell our students to work harder, we need to let legislators know they must also do better! Send your message today!
