Take Advantage Of Fall Activities

Fall brings many unique opportunities to be active. The beauty of the changing leaves and lingering sunshine of still-long days set the stage for afternoon hikes and evening walks.  Comfortable temperatures tempt us to head outside.  And, of course, kids of all ages love running through the fallen leaves.

This season, focus on the social benefits of physical activity. Share the beauty of the great outdoors and the many fall events with friends.  By exercising for as little as 30 minutes a day you can reduce your risk of heart disease.  In fact, studies show that for every hour of walking, you may increase your life expectancy by two hours. Start with a small goal, commit to it, and enjoy the benefits of an active life.
