On March 27th, the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously voted in support of SB 351, marking a significant win toward advancing this critical issue. The bill would extend civil liability protections to businesses and property owners who wish to place an AED on their premises and grant liability protection to bystanders and non-medical first responders who in good faith render first aid and CPR to someone in an emergency. The bill is now on second consideration in the Senate and will be re-referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee.
