Ohio — Building for Tomorrow
- House Bill 427, currently in the House Committee on Health and Aging, would recognize Primary Stroke Centers in the state, establish a framework for a stroke registry, and strengthen stroke systems of care through better coordination between EMS and hospitals.
- We are still diligently working to restore state tobacco prevention and cessation funding by equalizing the Other Tobacco Products (OTP) tax with cigarettes. In other tobacco news, the Ohio Supreme Court ruled to uphold SmokeFree Ohio. Additionally, with funding provided by Americans for Nonsmokers Rights, we launched the Celebrate Ohio’s Smoke Free Casinos campaign which promoted Ohio’s new smoke free casinos in Cleveland and Toledo.
