Introducing the 2010-11 Advisory Board of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation
You're the Cure GRA
On Monday, August 23, 2010
By raising their voices and inspiring their peers to live healthier lives, young people across the nation are leading the fight against childhood obesity. Twenty-five of these exceptional young people have been selected to serve on the 2010-11 Youth Advisory Board for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
The tweens and teens are leading the way in their communities and among their peers as they spread the word about the importance of healthy living through the Alliance's empowerME Movement. The empowerME Movement – 3 million young people and growing – is a "by kids, for kids" initiative inspiring all kids to make healthy behavior changes and to become leaders and advocates for healthy eating and physical activity.
Meet the members: Learn more about Isabella, Sarah, Scotie, Justin and all 25 members. Read their answers to questions such as: "What motivates you to make healthy changes in your life?"
