    In 1960, a group of resuscitation pioneers combined mouth-to-mouth breathing with chest compressions to create Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, the lifesaving action we now call “CPR.” This action, when provided immediately after a sudden cardiac arrest, can double – even triple – a victim’s chance of survival.

Get Ready for Summer Recesses

Throughout the summer, Members of Congress will be back in your home state for in-district work periods, or recesses, which provide great opportunities to engage your legislators on the key health issues you care about. From town hall meetings, to office hours, to community events, you can learn about Members' recess schedules by:

• Signing up for your lawmakers' e-newsletters on their websites.

• Following your lawmakers on Facebook and Twitter.

• Calling the district offices closest to you.
